Win 1 of 4 Copies of Debs and Errol’s Newest Album: CTRL+ALT+DUETS

Last Tuesday (October 15, 2013) Debs and Errol’s (@debsanderrol) newest album, CTRL+ALT+DUETS was released. It is a geek parody album containing songs about Star WarsStar TrekTetris, and more! Do I need to say more? What if I told you that I have four extra copies of the album and I’m giving them away?

In the event that I’ve yet to grab your attention, you can listen to the entire album below. Like Debs and Errol‘s previous album, Songs in the Key of Geek, Debs and Errol manage to blend comedy and the things geeks love into a fantastic EP. There is even an auto-tuned Debs, which, if you’re already familiar with her voice, was wholly unnecessary. However, for this long-time Debs and Errol supporter, it added to the humour of “Tribbles.”

So, how can you win one of my extra four copies of CTRL+ALT+DUETS?

  1. Leave a comment. That’s it. If you want to make your comment interesting, answer the following: If you had to pick only one piece of fandom to consume for the rest of your life, what would it be?
  2. Only one comment per person. Leaving multiple comments will disqualify you. When leaving a comment, please use a valid e-mail address so that I can notify you if you win.
  3. You have until Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 23:59 PDT to leave a comment. At that time, I’ll use a random number generator to select four winners. Winners will be notified by e-mail on Wednesday, October 30, 2013. Winners will be announced in the comments of this post on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 before 16:00 PDT.
  4. If you have any questions, please e-mail me.

Good luck!

  1. This question hurts my head because I am so fickle, but if I had to choose right now I would have to say Star Wars….I think.

  2. I’d have to go with Dr. Who, just because there’s so much of it and so much variety in the storytelling. Star wars would be tempting, more because of the novels than any movies beyond the original trilogy. If you take Anime as a single entity, there’s definitely a lifetime worth works worthy of fandom, but I consider it a medium rather than a genre. Of course, there will be Browncoats for life, being as tenacious as the Original Star Trek fans, but if I were stuck with only one fandom, I don’t expect a Firefly: Next Generation to hit the airwaves any time soon.

  3. Can I say the Whedon fandom or is that cheating? I’ll pick Buffy, with Star Trek as a ridiculously close second. :)

  4. I’d go with Marvel Comics as the fandom.

It gives me classic comics, the various movies and TV series, the video games… etc.

Besides, even if a lot is crap, there’s so much out there that I’d be able to find something to occupy my time.

  5. Only one fandom would be really tricky. I suppose if I could get my hands on all the short stories of Jack Ritchie that would keep me off the streets for a while.

  6. Congratulations to Andrew, Crystal, Meli, and Natalia!
