Sanctum Now Available for Mac

Hit FPS Tower Defense Now Available for Download on Mac through Steam for 10% Off

Skövde, Sweden – August 14, 2012 – Coffee Stain Studios has announced that its hit PC FPS/tower-defense game, Sanctum, is now available on Mac. Mac gamers can download the intense hybrid shooter exclusively through Valve’s Steam Store currently for $8.99 (http://store.steampowered.com/app/91600/), 10 percent off of the regular price.

“We’re tremendously proud of how Sanctum has performed on the PC,” said Anton Westbergh, CEO of Coffee Stain Studios. “Creating a Mac version is something we’ve wanted to do for a long time, and we couldn’t be happier to now be able to bring our unique blend of hybrid gameplay to a brand new audience.”

In celebration of the Mac launch, Coffee Stain Studios has restructured Sanctum’s downloadable content, including three tower DLCs (Violator, Penetrator, and Killing Floor) completely free of charge, and grouping others together in the affordably bundled “Sanctum Map Pack 1”.

Sanctum is a fresh take on the tower defense genre and places the player right into the frenetic fray with tight first-person shooter gameplay mechanics. Gamers take the role as Skye, an elite soldier sent out to protect her home town, Elysion One, from hordes of mysterious alien creatures. To successfully defend land, players must construct and upgrade a labyrinth of defensive structures and towers. When the havoc starts and the wave of baddies is unleashed, gamers jump right into the action with fully-upgradeable weapons to play a key role in the defense. Sanctum has taken the best features from FPSs and tower defense games to create something totally unique.
