Pieces of Me

Geeky Pleasures Will Be On Hiatus Through July 2, 2012, Plus Periodic Days Throughout July, And August 3, 2012

Just a little heads-up for those who are not aware. On July 1, 2012, I will be leaving Canada on a personal trip for five weeks and travelling to the Washington, DC area, returning on August 3, 2012.

As a result of all the necessary preparations I have to finish over the next three days, for the rest of this week, there will be no updates to Geeky Pleasures except for any press releases that I may receive. Also, I have to wake up at 0330 on July 1 and spend the day travelling by planes to the US. Because July 1 is likely to be a 24+ hour day, there will be no updates to Geeky Pleasures on July 2, 2012, and my normally scheduled radio show on The Look 24/7 (@TheLook247) that day will not air. Geeky Pleasures should resume updates on July 3, 2012, depending on how I am feeling. My all Canadian show and The Geeky Pleasures Radio Show will air on Friday, July 5, 2012 at The Look 247, as usual.

Also, throughout July, there will be days without updates as I will be visit the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center to see the space shuttle Discovery, touring NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, spending a day hanging out at ThinkGeek HQ, visiting the Smithsonian American Art Museum to see The Art Of Video Games exhibit, and spending a day at the Unites States Holocaust Memorial Museum. I will be writing about each of these visits for Wired’s GeekMom, so if you haven’t subscribed to GeekMom’s RSS, I suggest you do so now. Plus, I’ll be sharing some other news at GeekMom that may just interest you. There may also be other days where things just come up and I’ll be unable to update Geeky Pleasures. My radio shows will run as normal.

And, finally, there will be no updates to Geeky Pleasures on Friday, August 3, 2012, as that is the day I’m returning to Canada. Also, my all Canadian show and The Geeky Pleasures Radio Show will not air that night as I’ll still be on an airplane.

If you are curious to how my trip is going, or want to be sure what days there will be no updates, then I suggest you follow me on Twitter and circle my personal G+ account.

To my Canadian readers, have a fabulous Canada Day on Sunday! To my American readers, I’m looking forward to seeing how you celebrate the forth of July!

Have a great weekend, every one!
