Geeky Pleasures’ Top Fives Of May 2012

For the curious and those who are stats obsessed, it is time, once again, to give you some insight into what the top five downloads and pageviews were for the previous month. You can read about the top five for February here, the top five for March here and the top five for April here.

Without further ado, here are Geeky Pleasures’ Top Five Of May 2012:

Top Five Pageviews:

Yet, again, we still have some repeats. This time two of the top five pages were part of the top five for February 2012, March 2012 and April 2012. These pages are: 1) Combat Arms Enhances Arsenal With Extensive Weapons Update–moving down to the fourth most pages viewed; and 2) SpinTunes 3 Round 2 Rankings And Reviews Are Done, Round 3 Challenge Revealed–moving down to the fifth most pages viewed. I suspect the reason why these pages continue to do well is for the same as for previous month month. They are syndicated on other websites and image searches. One of the top five is a repeat from April 2012. Moving down to second place is Board Games Line-Up at GottaCon 2011.

Because 3 of the 5 top pages are repeats, I’ll share with you the next top five most viewed pages:

  1. ‘Redshirts’ Is In A Word: Perfect – An Open Letter To John Scalzi–I have John Scalzi to thank for making this the number one post viewed for the month of May 2012. He not only tweeted it, but he linked to it on his blog, calling it, “Possibly the most squeetastic review I’ll ever receive.” I’m not doing to lie to you. That felt really good.
  2. Demiurge Studios Continues its Growth with Several Internal Promotions–This is the result of the post being spread around social media and syndication of this article.
  3. Win 1 of 2 Copies of ‘Blue Magic’ by A. M. Dellamonica–Once again, this is the result of this post being spread around social media.
  4. Enter the ‘Zumba® Fitness Rush Challenge’ for a Chance to Win Prizes and Party Yourself into Shape–Again, social media, with some organic search results mixed in there.
  5. Win 1 of 2 Copies of ‘Redshirts’ by John Scalzi–Again, I have to thank John Scalzi for tweeting this, and all the RTs that followed. You still have time to enter this giveaway. Giveaway closed Monday, June 11, 2012 at 11:59 pm PDT.

Top Five Interview/Podcast Downloads:

The top five interviews downloaded for May 2012 are:

  1. Alyx Dellamonica Interview
  2. Deborah Vankin Interview
  3. Lesli Margherita, Lauren Bass and Tom Lenk Interview
  4. Runic Games Torchlight Interview
  5. Erin Hill Interview

And in the event that someone is once again curious about the following, the total page views for May 2012 broke just over 339,000, which is a decrease in page views. That is what happens when one takes a two-week staycation. My unique visitors for May 2012 was roughly 23,175, which is a slight increase, thanks to John Scalzi.

Thanks, again, for reading this little website of mine. And, once again, I ask you to tell a friend about Geeky Pleasures!
