Alyx Dellamonica Interview

On Friday, April 27, 2012, I sat down to have a conversation with award winning Canadian author Alyx Dellamonica (@AlyxDellamonica) on the Geeky Pleasures Radio Show at The Look 24/7 (@TheLook247).

From a personal standpoint, this conversation has to be the most rewarding one I’ve had, to date, on the Geeky Pleasures Radio Show.

If you missed the interview, don’t worry. The interview is available below for your downloading and listening pleasure. But first, the show notes.

  • Things we discussed during the interview include: Alyx’s background as a teacher and writer; We geeked out a bit about Quantum Leap and her Buffy Rewatch series at Tor.com; Her newest novel Blue Magic (you can read my review here and you can enter to win 1 of 2 copies here); Then we discussed all things LGBTQ–what it is like to be bigender and a trans man, gay marriage, feminism and equality, homosexuality, and so much more.
  • There is some NSFW language.
  • At the beginning of the interview, you’ll hear the Geeky Pleasures Radio Show theme song by Chris Cogott (@chriscogott)
  • The length of the interview is 2 hours 27 minutes 36 seconds
  • The size is 135 MB
  • The format is mp3, 128 kbps, 44.1 kHz, stereo
  • To download the interview, right click save as this link.

Alternatively, you can stream it below. If you are viewing this in an RSS reader, you may need to visit the site in order to stream it.

I hope you enjoy!

About Jules Sherred

Jules Sherred does way more than should be legal. Most notably, she is the General Manager and Programming Director of The Look 24/7, host of the Geeky Pleasures Radio Show and the offshoot website, Geeky Pleasures, and core contributor to Wired’s GeekMom. She’s already written two non-fiction books — From The Mundane To The Insane: A Wonderful Journey Without A Destination and Tales Of A Lupus Butterfly — the partial proceeds of which go to lupus research and treatment, is working on another book called Nerd Love, and is beyond excited that Five Little Zombies And Fred is now a real thing for people to hold, read, and love. You can follow her on Twitter @GeekyJules. Also, SHE LOVES STAR TREK.
