Fractal Free on the iPad Until Friday

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – February 16, 2012 – Fractal for the iPad is back on the iTunes Store! And it’s been updated with a slew of bug fixes!

Fractal was previously offered on the App Store under Cipher Prime’s publisher’s name. But there were some issues, and following the return of Cipher Prime’s rights the game is now being re-released as a Cipher Prime title. Unfortunately, due to App Store policies Cipher Prime was unable to simply transfer prior purchase records of old Fractal customers to the new app.

So Cipher Prime faced a pricing conundrum. Cipher Prime couldn’t simply offer all prior purchasers a promo code because Cipher Prime didn’t know who the prior purchasers are and Cipher Prime didn’t have enough promo codes to give out to their prior purchasers.

Cipher Prime initially planned on offering the app at a reduced 99¢ price and returning it to full price after a week. However, after receiving customer feedback they decided to offer the app free to all until Friday (so that previous Fractal owners have a chance to grab a free copy), then the reduced 99¢ until Tuesday, and then full price. Cipher Prime wants to apologize again to everyone for the inconvenience!

See the official blog post here. And get the game on the App Store here!
