Patrick Hester Interview

On Friday, Semptember 23, 2011, I had the pleasure of Patrick Hester (@atfmb) joining me on the Geeky Pleasures Radio Show at The Look 24/7 (@TheLook247).

And, like what seems to have become the norm when people join me on Geeky Pleasures, it is another long conversation. It was also a lot of fun and there were few moments where I near snorted.

And now, the show notes:

  • Things we discussed during the interview include: What Patrick does in regular life; Patrick’s online stuff and podcasting; Writing journal and writing; Science fiction, fantasy and “growing up”; Mainstream publishing and self-publishing; Cylons, Daleks and other scary things; Television we watched as children; Comics; Star Trek, Babylon 5, La Femme Nikita, Stargate, strong female characters in fiction and television; Television we are watching right now including The Big Bang Theory; More cylons and creepy things; Cats, children and practical jokes.
  • There is some NSFW language.
  • At the beginning of the interview, you’ll hear the Geeky Pleasures Radio Show theme song by Chris Cogott (@chriscogott)
  • The length of the interview is 3 hours 06 minutes and 17 seconds
  • The size is 170 MB
  • The format is mp3, 128 kbps, 44.1 kHz, stereo

About Jules Sherred

Jules Sherred does way more than should be legal. Most notably, she is the General Manager and Programming Director of The Look 24/7, host of the Geeky Pleasures Radio Show and the offshoot website, Geeky Pleasures, and core contributor to Wired’s GeekMom. She’s already written two non-fiction books — From The Mundane To The Insane: A Wonderful Journey Without A Destination and Tales Of A Lupus Butterfly — the partial proceeds of which go to lupus research and treatment, is working on another book called Nerd Love, and is beyond excited that Five Little Zombies And Fred is now a real thing for people to hold, read, and love. You can follow her on Twitter @GeekyJules. Also, SHE LOVES STAR TREK.
