101010 Productions and Richard Hatch of The Apollo Awards to Co-Host the Geeky Pleasures Radio Show, April 22, 2011


It is with great pleasure and anticipation that I announce Peter Budd and Melanie Teychenne-King (Directors of 101010 Productions Pty. Ltd) and Richard Hatch (Apollo in the original Battlestar Galactica and Tom Zarek in the 2004 re-imagining) will be joining me for a live interview/ co-host of the Geeky Pleasures Radio Show on The Force 925 (@TheForce925) on Friday, April 22, 2011 at 7 pm PT/ 10 pm ET/ 3 am (Sat) GMT/ Noon Brisbane time, to discuss The Apollo Awards (@ApolloAwards) and to geek out. As always, you are welcome to join us in chat to ask your own questions during the interview. Originally scheduled to be delivered online in October 2011, The Apollo Awards are now scheduled for sometime in 2012, postponed on account of all the natural disasters which have recently occurred in Australia. More news about that to come at a later date.

The Apollo Awards Ceremony is a gala red-carpet event to be staged in Queensland, Australia in early-2012. Utilising ‘state-of-the-art’ integration technologies, live presentations and performances will be combined with pre-produced entertainment segments and acceptances. The Apollo Awards will employ the classic award categories of Best Actor, Best Film, and Best Series etcetera, as well as irreverent categories.

Peter Budd and Melanie Teychenne-King, Directors of 101010 Productions Pty. Ltd. and independent Event Managers, founded the company to specialise in the creation and delivery of unique, world-class events for the entertainment media in Science Fiction and Fantasy sector.

Both have worked on numerous large scale entertainment events around Australia, coordinating logistics and operations, as well as managing notable actors from series and films such as the Star Trek and Stargate franchises, Doctor Who, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and the Harry Potter franchise.

Best known for his role as Apollo in the classic 1978 Battlestar Galactica and as Tom Zarek in the 2004 Syfy re-imagining of the same series, Richard is an accomplished author, director and producer, as well as an acting and life coach. He is currently co-creating and starring several web series (WhoTheFrak.com and The Hunted: Vindication).
