The Lupus Awareness Virtual Art Gallery’s Final Round-Up

Before I get to the final round-up for the Lupus Awareness Virtual Art Gallery, I want to update every one on Joe ‘Covenant’ Lamb‘s (@JoeCovenant) special Halloween JoeCast to raise funds for Lupus UK. To say it was a success is an understatement. Both Joe and I are deeply touched by the support and success of it all.

His original goal was to raise £100. Within a couple hours of announcing the donations page, 60% of the target was reached. So he raised the goal to £150. The second goal was reached even before the broadcast began. So he raised it to £300. This goal was  reached before the 2nd intermission. He raised it yet again, this time to £350. This goal was reached shortly after the 2nd intermission. And then by the end of the night, he reached his 5th goal of £400. The page still has the goal listed at £350, however he tweeted and mentioned in the JoeCast that it would be amazing if he raised another £50 and so it became reality. This converts to $641.96 USD – $653.04 CAD going directly to Lupus UK. The donation page will be live for another 5 years. So if you’d still like to donate visit http://www.justgiving.com/JoeLamb. We cannot thank you enough for making this such a huge success, especially with such short notice.

Another thank you to all those who contributed to, visited and spread the word about the Lupus Awareness Virtual Art Gallery. A lot of its success can be attributed directly to you. I hope to see the art gallery continue to grow over the years and look forward to receiving contributions for the next update, scheduled for World Lupus Day on May 10, 2011.

Over the weekend, the following contributions went live. Click the clips to view the posts.

And below is every thing else submitted last month. Click the clips to view the posts.

Until next time…
